Councillor Brierley is passionate about supporting people, strengthening communities, and making a positive difference through public service.
His background includes service in the Royal Navy specialising in communications and IT, followed by several years working in IT support and customer-focused roles, where he developed strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to delivering outcomes. More recently, he was appointed as Cabinet Member for Housing, a role that reflects his commitment to improving opportunities for residents, supporting thriving communities, and helping shape places people are proud to call home.
Outside of work, he is a husband and father of three, and enjoys gaming, repairing PCs, and exploring new technology.
