Councillor Buckley was elected in 2018 and serves the Ryton, Crookhill and Stella areas of Gateshead. He was nominated to the Keelman Board at the end of July 2024.
As cabinet member for housing at Gateshead Council, Chris is responsible for over 18,000 homes and is focused on ensuring residents in Gateshead are living in safe, well-maintained homes. Chris is also interested in improving services which help disabled children and their carer’s, and the management of the local environment.
