Foundations of Kibblesworth.
Kibblesworth residents could be forgiven for thinking that the ‘monster trucks’ had come to their village recently.
Large diggers and drills, including the one pictured above, visited the estate as the housing company carried out preparations for building new homes in the area.
The company tested the ground conditions for house foundations, and measured land around the estate to plot out where new properties could be positioned.
Three contractors will be invited to submit proposals to build the new homes, with one company hopefully being chosen by August to carry out the work.
Up to three tenants from the area will be invited to apply to join a panel to look at the contractors’ proposals.
Consultation events will be held to ensure customers are kept fully informed of ongoing progress.
The first event will take place at the Millennium Centre, Kibblesworth, on Wednesday, 29 July, with sessions at 9.30am, 2pm and 6pm.
